Community fans were introduced to Andrew Kim, the wunderkind designer who turned a rebranding design exercise into a career on Microsoft’s design team.
They met Darrell Smith, the facilities engineer who designed a system to control every lightswitch and air conditioner on the Microsoft campus from his desk.
They got a peek behind the scenes with Amy Stevenson, who curates Microsoft's immense archives—from boxed products to life-size Clippy statues.
One of the most unexpected aspects of this campaign was the intentional omission of any Microsoft products in the imagery; this series focused on people and their passions, and less about marketing the tools.
